Hi Ya All
Can you believe it - totally lost track of time..... Bookclub is Sunday at 8am.
Let's meet at The Crosstown Meeting House, 23 Logan Road, Woolloongabba 4102.
Remember we discussed Charles Dickens there, food is interestingly scrummy and the coffee is good. Can't book a table so whoever arrives first grab a good table pls for 5 (6) if we can entice Cheryl to drop by or (7) if Rachelle drops in too!!!
Last time we were here Dagmar made a surprise visit so anything is possible....
Looking forward to seeing you all there!!!!
Ven-nice
This Blog helps the wonderful women of our Book Club to stay in touch in between gatherings. It also provides an opportunity for us to share books of interest and fun events which might be of literary interest to all or some of us!
Our name has its origin from the very first meeting spot of our Group, a lovely little Flower Shop-Cafe in Paddington Bris-Vegas in the land of Oz. While the Cafe is no longer, we still gather to enjoy conversation and lively debate about the reading books on our list!
Which Ever One to Read......

Next book club?
Hi all, I have completely lost track of when we are catching up again. I have read (and loved) The End of Your Life Book Club. Looking forward to good company, good coffee and a good chat. Just tell me where and when. Jen

Raven Girl - Audrey Niffenegger
Hi Ladies
I just read an interview with the author, Audrey of her newest book through my Good Reads blog feed. It is an interesting read.
I have copied the summary from their website,
Once there was a Postman who fell in love with a Raven. So begins the tale of a postman who encounters a fledgling raven while on the edge of his route and decides to bring her home. The unlikely couple falls in love and conceives a child—an extraordinary raven girl trapped in a human body. The raven girl feels imprisoned by her arms and legs and covets wings and the ability to fly. Betwixt and between, she reluctantly grows into a young woman, until one day she meets an unorthodox doctor who is willing to change her. One of the world's most beloved storytellers has crafted a dark fairy tale full of wonderment and longing. Complete with Audrey Niffenegger's bewitching etchings and paintings, Raven Girl explores the bounds of transformation and possibility.
I have always enjoyed reading Audrey Niffenegger's work - and this new novel certainly has a little fairytale twist in it….
